I know that some people find mine a tad dark and thick and not as good at high gain tones and other people like the roundness and ability to sound thick at higher volumes. It's all a matter of taste and that's why I want to make sure people know what my profiles sound like before they spend any money. The Pack contains some of my all time favorite amps that cover all the "food groups". From the best vintage Plexi I've ever heard to a couple of my favorite AC type circuits to some classic CA tweed, blackface, and brownface tones to unique amps that fall somewhere in between.
As I tried to keep my personal amp collection to a minimum only so much room in the house , I tried to find what I thought were the best of each food group and hang on to it. Along the way, there were a few other gems that I was lucky enough to get my hands on along the way too. The end result is a pack that might be my best one yet. And with the new 7. There is no real way of making a profile sound the same on such a wide variety of speakers, headphones, studio monitors, frfr cabs, etc.
Most speaker systems that claim to be "flat" or "frfr" still have many differences as is the nature of trying to create a two- or three- way speaker system.
Personally, I tweak to Ultimate Ears UE7 ear monitors because that is what I use onstage and the frequency response is relatively flat compared to most headphones and studio monitors I've tried.
That being said, the Kemper is powerful enough to tweak to fit whatever you're using by using the EQ, both in the amp section and in the output section.
